Who I am?
I am a sociologist with rigorous academic training from both Hong Kong and New York City, now based in Shenzhen, China. My work explores the intersection of technology, society, and global dynamics, with a particular focus on understanding China’s evolving role in today’s complex geopolitical landscape.
Currently, I am researching the development of open-source technology in China, examining how the country’s interactions with the global stage shape and are shaped by contemporary challenges.
I am also deeply concerned with women's experiences in the global tech industry, investigating how gendered dynamics influence individual careers and broader industry trends.
With professional experience helping U.S. hardware startups facilitate manufacturing in China, I offer a unique perspective on the relationship between Chinese and Western economies and cultures.
Through my observations and writings, I aim to bridge the divide between the public sphere and the academic world, as well as between China and the broader global community, offering fresh insights into the intersections of technology, gender, and global relations.
